29 Weeks

Size of Baby: According to babycenter.com he weights about 2 1/2 pounds, the size of a butternut squash.  He is about 15 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: I'm going to need to go shopping... it's starting to get a little chilly to wear summer dresses.

Gender: It's a BOY!

Belly Button In/Out: Still in... barely...  not sure it will last another week.

Stretch Marks: None so far... but I have a feeling they are coming.

Labor Signs: None so far... praying these won't happen for a long time!

Movement: He moves all the time!

Sleep: It's still going well.  He hates when I lay on my left side, punches me like crazy until I turn over.

What I miss: Wearing my rings easily... I have to drink so much water to get my finger swelling to go down.

What I am looking forward to: My first baby shower coming up soon!

Cravings/Aversions: I'm pretty boring these days...

Symptoms:  My fingers are still swelling... and it's harder to squeeze through small areas.

Best Moment This Week:
Picking out some things for this little guy!  Notice the start of a diaper stash in the background of the picture.

28 Weeks

Well, obviously I have been a little slack on updating the blog... but hopefully in the coming weeks I will get back into a good pattern at least updating once a week!

Size of Baby: According to our ultrasound this week he is about 2 pounds 7 ounces.

Maternity Clothes: I'm still wearing a lot of stretchy summer dresses, but with the cooler weather this week I wore my first maternity shirt.

Gender: It's a BOY!

Belly Button In/Out: Still in... barely... will probably be out soon.

Stretch Marks: None so far... but I have a feeling they are coming.

Labor Signs: None so far... praying these won't happen for a long time!

Movement: I think I felt him doing backflips the other night... he is awake and mobile a lot at night... hopefully we can get that straightened out before he gets here.

Sleep: It's going pretty well... I am getting over a cold this week, so that is complicating things.

What I miss: Coffee, I keep getting cravings when I see all the yummy creamers coming out for the holidays.

What I am looking forward to: Making some stuff for the little man soon.

Cravings/Aversions: Coffee... see above... not too much else... my cravings are boring!

Symptoms:  My fingers are still swelling... and it's harder to squeeze through small areas.

Best Moment This Week:
Seeing our little man on the ultrasound Tuesday.  He is getting big!  He had his feet touching his little forehead the whole time... a gymnast or maybe a diver?

19 and 20 Weeks

Again these last two weeks have been crazy!  We spent nearly a week at the beach with the Hearns... can you believe I did not take a single picture?  I don't have a picture for these two weeks yet... maybe this weekend.

Size of Baby: According to babycenter.com at 19 weeks this little one weighed in at about 8 1/2 ounces and 6 inches long (from head to bottom) the size of a large heirloom tomato.  At 20 weeks he had grown to 10 1/2 ounces and 10 inches... this time from head to heal.  They start measuring this way at 20 weeks (because the legs start to grow and stretch more)... think the size of a banana.

Maternity Clothes: Feeling better all the time... my normal shirts are starting to get a little short.

Gender: We found out this week... official blog announcement and name coming soon.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in, thank goodness!   But it is getting flatter.

Stretch Marks: None so far... hoping it stays that way.

Labor Signs: None so far... praying these won't happen for a long time!

Movement: Moving more and more... the ultrasound tech was having to chase the baby this week at our doctor's appointment... we may have an Olympic swimmer on our hands.

Sleep: It's going pretty well... not so easy to sleep on my stomach anymore.

What I miss: Vacation.. does that count?  When is our next beach trip?

What I am looking forward to: More Olympics!

Cravings/Aversions: Fountain Diet Coke... and this week cinnamon rolls.  Luckily we had some for breakfast today!

Symptoms:  Getting bigger all the time... and some of the fatigue is back... but the nausea is gone for now... thank goodness!

Best Moment This Week:
Finding out what we are having... so excited to start planning specifics for this little one!

17 and 18 weeks

So much for doing an update every week... we have been terribly busy the last few weeks.  Patrick was working longer days, so without a photographer I did not get myself into gear with posting.  It's 2 weeks at a time this week.

Size of Baby: According to babycenter.com at 17 weeks the baby was about 5 inches long and weighed 5 ounces the size of a turnip.  At 18 weeks the baby weighed 5 and a half ounces and was 7 inches long, about the length of a bell pepper.

Maternity Clothes: Stretchy summer dresses and more maternity capris, I love the dresses though.

Gender: Appointment set for July 30th... we have started referring to the baby as "he" though.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in, thank goodness!   But I can tell it is changing.

Stretch Marks: None so far... hoping it stays that way.

Labor Signs: None so far... praying these won't happen for a long time!

Movement: I felt the baby for sure at 17 weeks.  It is funny what gets him moving... singing at church on Sunday and the loud scanners at work.

Sleep: Good days and bad days, still able to sleep on my stomach sometimes, which really helps.

What I miss: Diet Coke... it's so weird because just a few weeks ago it was the last thing I wanted.

What I am looking forward to: A week until the Olympics.. oh and some much needed time off work!

Cravings/Aversions: Still loving Mexican food... and eating carrot sticks and fruit like they are going out of style.

Symptoms:  Still feeling much better in the nausea department!  Starting to feel bigger though...

Best Moment This Week:
Feeling real movement in my 17th week, it is the strangest feeling.  Hearing our little ones heartbeat at the doctor last week... always a reminder of just what a miracle God has given us.

16 Week Update

I'm about a day late this week... ooops... we've just been busy living life.

Size of Baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of an avocado, weighing around 3 and a half ounces.   Apparently, the baby is about to start a growth spurt... so a lot of changes coming!

Maternity Clothes: Stretchy summer dresses... and I finally broke down and wore some maternity capris this week.  They are so comfortable.

Gender: We'll see at the end of July... I'm still thinking boy, not sure why.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in, thank goodness!

Stretch Marks: None so far... hoping it stays that way.

Labor Signs: None so far... praying these won't happen for a long time!

Movement: I'm pretty sure I felt the baby a few times this week.  I am looking forward to feeling more soon.

Sleep: Getting better at sleeping on my side.

What I miss: Diet Coke... it's so weird because just a few weeks ago it was the last thing I wanted.

What I am looking forward to: This doesn't have a lot to do with the baby, but I can't wait for the Olympics in a few weeks.  We had such a good time watching the trials last week.

Cravings/Aversions: Still loving Mexican food... but I think that's pretty normal for me.

Symptoms:  I am feeing so much better this week.  I've even had a few days with no nausea!  Yay!

Best Moment This Week:
We got to see friends in a variety of circumstances this week, including a cookout to celebrate the 4th with our church family.

15 Week Update

We are still trying to get the hang of taking these pictures... it's difficult because I'm not really showing just yet.

Size of Baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of an apple, weighing around 2 and a half ounces.

Maternity Clothes: Sticking with stretchy summer dresses, they are so comfortable!  So glad they are in style and easy to find this summer.

Gender: We'll see at the end of July... I'm kind of thinking boy, not sure why.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in, thank goodness!

Stretch Marks: None so far... hoping it stays that way.

Labor Signs: None so far... praying these won't happen for a long time!

Movement: Maybe a few flutters?  We did the flashlight test... babycenter.com says if you shine a flashlight at your belly the baby's eyes are developed enough they will move away... I think I felt him/her move a little!

Sleep: I'm trying to get used to sleeping on my side.  I'm still able to sleep on my stomach, enjoying it while it lasts.

What I miss: I think I finally got my taste back for Diet Coke... though I haven't had any.  I have found myself wanting one the last few days.

What I am looking forward to: Vacation!  My work schedule finally came out... so refreshing to see a week of vacation in there!

Cravings/Aversions: Still loving Mexican food... but I think that's pretty normal for me.

Symptoms:  Less nausea, more energy... however a combination of summer temperatures and pregnancy have led my fingers to swell... so I am drinking lots more water!

Best Moment This Week:
A great date night with Patrick Friday night.  We are trying to soak up all the time we have just the two of us!

Walk this way...

I know I started back blogging last week... and so far, I have been pretty quiet... that's because not too much has gone on with us the last few days.  Except that, I am finally starting to feel back to my old self.  My energy is back, and I don't feel sick all day!  Thus, I  have finally started a little exercise routine that will hopefully keep the two of us in shape until December.

I am not pushing it too hard, or doing anything overly strenuous... or overly ambitious.  I have decided I am going to have a goal of walking three days a week, for at least 30 minutes.  As it gets cooler, I may add more days, it just depends on how I am feeling.

Does anyone have any advice on anything to add to my walking?  Or any music I need to add to the 'ole Ipod... because let's just say music really helps!

Weekly post coming tomorrow!
